Toronto-born bassist Kieran Overs has been an active professional musician since 1970, first on guitar and electric bass, and since 1980 on the acoustic bass. Overs holds an Honours Diploma from Humber College and a B.Mus. from Humber/Siena Heights University. He has toured internationally with Moe Koffman, Oliver Jones, and Jane Bunnett, and performed with jazz icons like Zoot Sims, Chet Baker, and Bill Charlap. With over 80 CD appearances, he has released four albums as a leader on Unity Records and Radius Records, including Gateway, Shape Shift, and For the Record. He is also a contract faculty member at Humber College and Mohawk College.
