For over twenty-five years, Joanne Morra has been a dynamic force in Toronto's music scene, performing jazz, blues, and originals in both official languages across the GTA. This versatile songstress has crooned to audiences everywhere from high toned venues to late night clubs and festivals.

In 2017, Morra released her debut album Alouette, a personal project produced with her longtime guitarist Eric St-Laurent. The acoustic album blends Québécois rock, jazz standards, blues, and German cabaret influences, featuring both original compositions and reimagined French folk songs.

Morra's warm, sensual vocals create a sound that's both melancholic and uplifting. Critics have been effusive in their praise, the Toronto Star's Chris Young calling her "a chanteuse of the first order” and CBC's Errol Nazareth praising her dynamic artistic range.
