Toronto based Brazilian musician and producer João Leão brings a fresh perspective to the most iconic Brazilian genre, performing classical gems from the Bossa Nova repertoire and other Brazilian masterpieces beyond The Girl from Ipanema. With a soothing voice and smooth electric piano vibes, João presents the depth of his lifetime research on the two founding fathers of the genre, Antonio Carlos Jobim and João Gilberto. Other important artists from the movement, such as João Donato, Marcos Valle, Roberto Menescal, and Nara Leão, are also celebrated in his repertoire.
